Squisito Pizza Night
"Great food, we'll be back for more..." A Fan, 11th May, 2010
Every month Squisito run a village Pizza Night at our local community run pub, The Denbigh Arms in Monks Kirby on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 10:00pm.
Our next village Pizza Night is Tuesday 13th July, 2010. Thereafter, the village Pizza Night will move to Monks Kirby Village Hall on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6pm where there will be a licenced bar and a new Summer menu.
Squisito bake traditional wood fired pizza Romana in our Sicilian pizza oven which runs at 260º - 500º Centigrade (no, not Fahrenheit!) and we make fresh dough with Italian tipo '00' flour and good olive oil get that authentic crispy base you last had on holiday in Italy.
We make our own toppings and we use Italian plum tomato passata or our own fresh passata in Summer, fresh cow's milk mozzarella and our own homemade Italian sausages, pancetta, black pudding etc.
What Squisito can't grow or rear in Monks Kirby, we source locally, and if it won't grow in Monks Kirby we import it from Italy so you can expect real Trapani capers, Sicilian anchovies and black olives on your pizza Napoletana and even a sprinkle of oregano we bought on holiday in Sardinia last Summer!
Pizza Nights can be busy and all pizza are freshly made to order so expect to wait half an hour between 7 and 8pm but, hey, it's like being on holiday and in your favourite pub at the same time! So bring some your friends and family, get a glass or wine or a pint of real ale, a few of our homemade antipasti and enjoy the company as they do Italy. It's a village affair and it's real pizza . . . so come along!
