Farmers Markets
Our first Farmers Market Stall was at arguably the best Farmers Market in the UK at Moseley Farmers Market, Birmingham where our customers first started to enjoy delicious handmade Italian style gelato ice creams.
Today, there are over 500 Farmers Markets in the UK and their popularity is indicative of people's changing attitudes towards food. If you’re able to visit one you’ll find an array of tempting locally-grown and homemade food and drink, and the great thing is you can actually meet the producers.
What are Farmers markets?
Farmers' markets are a traditional way of selling agricultural and home made artisan food. A weekly market day is a part of normal life in villages and town squares throughout the world.
Farmers Markets are carefully managed, with strict rules for accrediation, quality and producer selection. National Farmers' Retail & Markets Association (FARMA) is an organisation that was set up to represent farmers markets. It operates a certification scheme for UK farmers' markets. Squisito is the only fully accredited Farmers Markets Italian food producer.
You can find Squisito at Farmers Markets and other fine food events.
The vibrant, pulsating Italian markets were the inspiration for Squisito.
