Squisito Cookery School
In
Italy, food and ingredients are respected, talked about and discussed
endlessly from the hairdresser's to the building site. Even football
takes second place to Nonna's cooking! In Italy, most people live to eat. The sensual pleasure of a daily necessity rises above the commonplace to become the object of art and song. Food is at the heart of every Italian family and food is the currency of most social events.
We all eat 365 days a year every day of our lives. You would not consider taking to the road without learning to drive so why not learn to cook with a professional?
Now you can get expert cookery tuition with one of our individually designed courses and learn to cook in your kitchen the way we do in ours. From Artisan Sausage Making, Butchery & Curing at Home to Artisan Breadmaking and Italian Ice Cream Making, Squisito offer a range of personalised courses so you can learn the history, traditions and the family secrets of Italian cookery a la casa. For more information click here.
Unlike other courses, with Squisito you will learn hands-on and our courses are designed by qualified teachers who are professional cooks - that's us! You can also build up your practical experience with a day course or a series of courses specially designed to suit you over a year or to suit your own timetable and even in your own kitchen. Squisito can even give you monthly lessons so you can build on your experience at home and be sure you will not slacken off as you have your next lesson to look forward to and homework to get your teeth into!
Squisito offer support after your course and you can share your experiences with us when you meet like minded people and share your recipes and techniques. Since Italian cookery is all about fresh, quality ingredients, Squisito can advise you places and producers to visit in Italy to build on your experience and we like to share our favourite family recipes at our iRecipes page.
In association with local Slow Food Convivia in Italy and Sapori e Saperi in Tuscany, Squisito can help you organise gastronomic tours and food education to suit you. We are now taking bookings for our Salami Masterclass in Tuscany next season with Slow Food Master of Salami, Giancarlo Russo, and Andrea Barsanti of Norcineria Barsanti.
